Singapore, February 2009 - Presenting The Queen & Mangosteen, a modern interpretation of
the quintessential British gourmet pub with a whimsical flourish. Located within VivoCity with a panoramic waterfront view of scenic Sentosa including the upcoming spectacular Resorts World
Sentosa, The Queen & Mangosteen is a refreshing addition to this vibrant lifestyle and
entertainment mall.

Devised by the owners of the Highlander Bar and The Pump Room both located at Clarke
Quay, with F & B marketing experts Molotov Creative Consultants, the name The Queen &
Mangosteen reflects the drinking and dining experience of predominantly British influences and
rumour has it that the mangosteen was reputedly Queen Victoria s favourite fruit, she allegedly
offered a reward to anyone who could bring it to her!

MENU

Designed for unpretentious and relaxed dining, the compact menu comprises wholesome bites;
modern renditions of traditional British bar grub with Asian touches, as well as hearty mains and

desserts, making The Queen & Mangosteen the ideal location for a complete dining experience
or quick nibbles.

Tuck into favourite pub grub updated with a gourmet touch. The classic dish of shrimp cocktail is
presented in an old style beer mug as Pint of chilled tiger prawns with Marie Rose dip ($12)
while crisp thick-cut chips are impeccably paired with a zesty lemongrass & chilli aioli ($8).

The
quintessential Fish & Chips ($12) features golden-brown seabass fillets accompanied with an
appetising curry tartare sauce and the Mini hamburgers & chips ($16) makes for a hearty snack
or meal in one. Other tempting morsels include Spicy minced beef, Thai basil and bird s eye
chilli served with warmed corn chips and sour cream ($12) as well as Shredded slow-braised
duck with crusty bread ($12).

With Archipelago Brewery as a strategic business partner, The Queen & Mangosteen is pleased
to offer a wide range of its signature craft brews including old favourites like Archipelago Straits
Pale, Traveller s Wheat, Saison Sayang and Archipelago Samui. Two new additions to the
Archipelago family - Apsara Lager and Islander Indian Pale Ale (IPA), have just been launched
at the outlet.
